Charity partnerships
Union Square Charity Bursary
Each year we select a local charity or two charities to be the recipient of our charity bursary.
In addition to receiving a cash donation, we seek to maximise the charity partnership through providing mall space and opportunities for colleagues to engage and support in volunteering, fundraising activities and events.
Our charity bursary partner for 2026 is Aberdeen Foyer. Aberdeen Foyer is dedicated to ending youth homelessness and tackling poverty across northeast Scotland, supporting young people aged 12-25 and adults facing challenging circumstances that prevent them from building positive futures.
The bursary received by Aberdeen Foyer will help fund an Employment Engagement Programme at their Trinity Court housing facility, which provides safe accommodation for around 65 young people experiencing homelessness each year. While stable housing gives these young people security, many lack the practical skills, confidence and professional networks needed to move into work, training or education. This 6-month programme will bridge that gap, complementing their housing support to accelerate pathways to independence and brighter futures.
